Order Entry Options

Postal Code Lookups

Postal Code Lookups enable you to key the postal code first and have Lottery Manager set the city, province and area code (where applicable). This ensures correct and consistent entry of cities and provinces, and will reduce the number of pieces returned as "Not Deliverable" by the post office.

Direct Mail Subsystems

Direct Mail Percentage Reports

This subsystem allows you to enter the number of households in each FSA you are marketing to, and to then generate statistical sales reports showing the percentage response from these FSAs.

Direct Mail Lookups / Prior Order Database

This subsystem allows you to maintain a database of previous buyers or other data from other mailing lists, and to have the order entry screens look up the data by telephone number or ID number.

Other functions available with this subsystem are the ability to import the data from other sources, such as a mail house; a screen to manage the database; the ability to export the database back to the mail house or to a call centre; and the ability to clean up your database.

Tracking Subsystems

Receipt Number Tracking

This subsystem allows you to enter which receipts have been assigned to outside locations for selling tickets, and to report on the status of the receipts.

The report lists which receipts have been received and which location they were assigned to; the receipts that have not yet been received; and any duplicate receipt numbers that have been entered.

Credit Card Subsystems

Note: Vandenberg Systems only provides an interface to the software of the various banks. We do not provide support for using their software, or for any problems that might arise from their software or systems.

CIBC

This subsystem allows you to process Visa and Mastercard transactions through the CIBC, using their PC Batch software. Supports both version 2.21 and 3.0 of PC Batch.

Bank of Nova Scotia

This subsystem allows you to process Visa and Mastercard transactions through the Bank of Nova Scotia, using their ScotiaMerchant PC software product. This subsystem only supports sending the transactions to the bank. The authorization/decline codes cannot be read back automatically.

Power Tools

Automatic Backup

The Automatic Backup feature is designed to back up every database table used by Lottery Manager. This is useful when your operation is active for extended hours and your standard network backup system cannot back up all the files.

Note: this feature is designed to provide intermediate backups throughout the day, not as replacement for regularly scheduled tape backups.

Cheque Printing

Cheque Printing for Cash Prize Winners

This module allows you to print cheques for prize winners, simplifying the task of issuing cheques for cash prizes. The module includes a cheque register report as well, and the cost of the initial cheque form layout (assuming standard layouts and printers.)
